Controller

Position Summary:  This role will plan and direct all Accounting and Financial functions of the Company, in accordance with GAAP.  In addition to accurate financial reporting, will manage and develop the accounting, Costing and Shipping/Receiving staff, and provide guidance in budgeting, costing, analysis and optimization of all banking relationships for the organization. Will provide both strategic and tactical direction to the Company.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of the Accounting, Cost/Inventory and Shipping/Receiving functions.
  • Manages an Accounting Manager and Cost Manager, ensuring a documented system of accounting policies is in place and maintained.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.
  • Oversee accounting, financial reporting, analysis and preparation of the consolidated financial statements, including schedules for tax compliance.
  • Present financial reporting and potential risk areas to senior management, ensuring quality, accuracy, and clarity of all financial statements.
  • Ensures preparation of annual budget and forecasts; understanding, reporting and resolving variances.
  • Ensure accurate product costing from bill of materials; record inventory valuations in accordance with GAAP
  • Counsel with management concerning present and future schedule projections; considering the effects on cost, inventories, materials, and shortages.
  • Review, monitor, recommend and advise on financial activities to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

 

Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • BS degree in Accounting required. MS or MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Cost Accounting required.
  • 8+ years management experience required. Prior experience as a Controller.
  • Expertise with ERP Financial software, Great Plains preferred, with advanced knowledge of manufacturing systems integration.
  • Proven success streamlining accounting systems to reduce month-end close.
  • 8+ years of accounting management experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Previous experience as a Controller.
  • Experience with a multi-division organization required.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing a plus.

Government Contract Specialist

Position Summary: The Government Contract Support Specialist position has administrative support responsibility for government contracts from initial bid process through the duration of the contract.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Manage government bid opportunities and tracks the status of proposal development with internal teams to ensure submittal deadlines are met
  • Prepare responses to solicitations in the form of proposals and quotations
  • Maintain government lab test, shade results and component test reports
  • Enter all new government orders and fulfill orders in Great Plains
  • Update GSA and GSA BPA contract details
  • Create DD250’s invoice and receiving report from VIM (Virtual Item Manager), into WAWF (Wide Area Workflow) thus creating the government invoice

Production Supervisor

Position Summary: The Production Supervisor will be responsible for day-to-day supervision of employees and coordination of daily/weekly output based on material availability and capacity. This position will proactively identify and resolve; or escalate potential bottlenecks while ensuring safety, quality, costs specification, and timely delivery requirements are met.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching and develop employees, observe work duties, monitor performance, and conduct training in operations, procedures, policies, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage day-to-day scheduling, attendance, time off, and allocation of staffing resources based on production goals. May develop production schedule.
  • Put safety and quality ahead of production schedules. This individual is a role model and policy enforcer that sets the tone for the production teams.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained/certified for the job they are performing
  • Diligently verifies availability of inventory, delivery and release dates of raw materials, components. Resolves or escalates material shortage issues.
  • Work closely with Customer Service to understand the needs of customers, including product specifications, schedule, and shipping requirements.
  • Lead Kaizen events and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives. Use data and continuous improvement tools to resolve corrective actions and drive process improvement.

 

Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • Associate degree in engineering, Business or related field required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related manufacturing experience required.
  • 1-2 years of Supervisory experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience in LEAN manufacturing preferred.
  • Textile industry machine experience a plus.

Process Engineer

  • Strong Excel skills

Machine Operator

Position Summary: As a key member of the Bouckaert Industrial Textiles Production team, the experienced Machine Operator will set up, run, and change over textile machines independently with a focus on quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Operates textile machines independently.
  • Sets up, runs, changes-over, and troubleshoots most operational issues on assigned equipment.
  • Keeps machines in good working condition by adhering to cleaning schedules and applying basic preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Makes minor machine adjustments within accepted ranges to ensure the quality and efficiency of the operations.
  • May train or cross-train other employees in machine operations and procedures.
  • Review job documentation before beginning job.
  • Employs Lean tools for problem-solving and continuous improvement.

 

Requirements
Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must have 3-5 years of experience running large PLC operated industrial machines.
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience in or knowledge of textile industry a plus.
